Overview
The TrueNAS R60 pushes the boundaries of the R-Series by introducing next-generation performance for the most demanding modern workloads. Built with PCIe Gen5 capabilities and DDR5 RAM, the R60 is the first platform in the R-Series to leverage Terabit Ethernet technology, supporting speeds up to 400 GbE.
This all-flash powerhouse is engineered to deliver up to 60 GB/s of throughput with ultra-low latency, providing a high-performance foundation for AI, data science, and high-resolution video production while maintaining the series' signature focus on density and value. With up to 4 expansion shelves and 60 total NVMe drives, the R60 scales to 7 PB raw and 14 PB effective capacity.

Frequently asked questions
The TrueNAS R60 is an all-NVMe single-controller rackmount NAS with 12 bays, 60 GB/s throughput, up to 7 PB raw capacity, and 2× 400 GbE networking. Runs TrueNAS Enterprise + OpenZFS.
60 GB/s — the highest in the single-controller R-Series, matching the V-Series ceiling but at a single-controller price point.
The R60 is single-controller; the V160 is hyperconverged with optional dual-controller HA. Both hit 60 GB/s and 400 GbE. Pick R60 for cost, V160 for HA and scale-out.
2× 400 GbE or 4× 25/100/200 GbE — built for NVMe-oF over RDMA workloads.
AI/ML inference datasets, scale-out lakehouse nodes, post-production shared NVMe, and any workload where single-controller is acceptable but high IOPS and bandwidth are required.
